Exclamation Ground Problem!!!

I'm currently installing a kicker 12 in sub into my 98 Tacoma extended cab. I'm just about finished, but I have no places to put my ground wires. I have one coming from the amp and another from the capacitor. I need some insight quick on places to put them since I don't want to start tearing my carpet up and I'm in the middle of this project. Thanks.

uhh well unless you have bare metal inside your truck your going to have to lift up some carpet, sand down the first piece of metal you see, and ground those bad boys.

i managed to find two ground spots. i ended up using the brackets to my drivers seat. not the prettiest job, but the seat hides the wires surprisingly well.

Your cap is hooked up incorrectly. Wire the ground off the amp to the cap and then from the cap to the chassis of the car. Same with power wire - connect the power wire to the cap then from the cap to the amp.

You only want 1 wire as a ground not 2. Your way of wiring the ground may cause a ground loop(unlikely if your crossover is set correctly but if you upgrade to a 4-channel is will become an issue.)

Good Luck!
