Dynamated my trunk!

I Dynamated my trunk this weekend and also took out the scepter and put dynamat all over the back of it. The trunk is nice and solid now! No more rattles!!! I was amazed at what this stuff did I didn't think it would be this big of an improvement. I have a 12" L7 in a ported box and it use to sound like the trunk was gonna fall off!

Yeah, after i dynomatted my trunk, my L7 sounded a lot crisper and actually my DB went up jsut a little. I still haven't put nearly enough in my rear deck cause it still rattles to all hell. Nice selection on the sub too!

hey what kind of box do you have ported or sealed?

I have the VS12L7 thats the original ported kicker box and was wondering how these subs would sound in a sealed box.

I have a custom made ported box for my L7 because i compeate with it. But i had an L5 in a sealed box and i got that thing to hit loud for a sealed box. It was ab it tighter. THey recomned that the L7 be ported and the L5 be sealed

I love my L7 and all but it rattles the whole freakin car the trunk is fine but the whole inside just goes nuts. I was thinking about trying a sealed box and seeing if i get tighter cleaner bass from it. Also do you have a subsonic filter or an fmod on your setup?

you wont get tighter bass out of a port box... i suggest sealed for just about all applications except competition.

U can't realyl see the dynomat in my trunk because i put the factory padding over it all to make it look stock. I may have a pic of some around the edges on my website.

cool....I want to dynamat my car now too, so how much of the material did you use? would 36 feet be big enough? mainly I want to dynamat my trunk, but what places did you place it at, and also I haven't dealt with dynamat yet, so how exactly do you do it, does it have like tape and just tape it where you want it?

Dynomat is kinda like roofing material. It is sticky on one side, and has metalic siding on the other. u want to put it anywhere that rattles. I just put it EVERYWHERE. If u can, get a roller or something to squish it to the metal.
