Exclamation New Problem

it seems as thought my speakers keep cutting out only when i take right turns. my guess is that the new sub i installed has shaken the speaker connections loose, but i don't think that would explain all the speakers cutting out at once even the front ones which are still factory. i drive a 98 tacoma although that probably doesn't matter. im planning to take a thorough look when the weather gets warmer. any insight would be appreciated.

If all the speakers are factory i would look to the headunit 1st. Other wise if you have some aftermarket ones then was is probably happening is that one of the leads is touching some metal (grounding out) and causing the deck to go into protection mode which shuts power off to all of the speakers. Once it is free of the metal (you stop turning) then it comes out of protection mode.

where did you run your power wire? if its near the steering shaft, it might have something to do with it. is this consistent or is it only sometimes? give us the full spread of your system

ok i'll try to explain my system layout. i have a kenwood head unit, the two speakers on the door are stock and the ones in the back are kickers. then i have a kicker 12in sub powered by a kenwood amp and also i have a capacitor hooked up. the two grounds that i have running from the amp and capacitor are located on the driver seat mounts. all of the wires( 12v battery power cable, RCA, and remote line) run through the center of the cab under the seat to the amp which is located on the sub box which is right behind the drivers seat. sorry if this sounds confusing but that basically what i have and how its set up.

i understand the setup. do the speakers pop when they cut out? do they do it consistently cut out on every right turn? i would re-check your grounds, make sure nothing is being pinched. if all the speakers are cutting out, i would look towards the HU. check that HU is not grounding on anything, and also the speaker wires coming from the HU for the stock speakers along with the RCA's for the rear speakers
