If the tweeters are facing you it will make a difference. I have both my front and rear speakers angled in custom fiberglass enclosures. For the fronts, the easiest and best way is to get a component setup. The woofer would go in the original door location and the tweeter would be mounted facing your head (ie in the dash or the a-pillar). And I don't think many after market speakers are full range. 2-way will sound fine if you don't go component. Mine are 2-way in the door, but angled up which might be what your talking about. The highs and lows both sound great, but because the tweeters are below you the sound stage is a little screwed up. It all really depends on how far you plan on taking the system, and your budget.
That was longer than I intended, so the short answer:
1)angling the speakers towards you will make it sound better
2)a 2 way is probably better
