Wtf

Some kid and his dad stopped by the store, get this the kid took his father's tower speakers from the entertainment room and wired them to his car. He cut his stock wires going to the back speakers and tied the tower wires to the stock wires...yeh. The speakers were all beat up from slidding around in his trunk. Has anyone ever seen this before? Wouldn't they sound like crap

tower speakers

No I don't think you got what I said. He had the speakers hooked up to factory wires. He was running them off of the stock radio/casette player. No amp or anything.

well home entertainment systems dont take nearly as much power and they usually run at higher impendences (8 ohms usually i think)... so you do the math or what not

Its the other way around.

Higher impedence = more resistance

Thats why when you wire subs in parallel, etc... to get a lower resistance and bridge the amp, the amp puts out more power.
