ok guys,
taking my car in for first service.
i have a gen 5 camry and i have the basic single CD player.
origianlly wanted to add the cool dvd and lcd crap but there is just no way i can get all that $$...and also, i don't think that it would look too nice because of where it is placed. however, if you have any pics, please post...i may change my mind.

my question is this....
does anyone know how much the oem 6 in dash player would cost? and if it can be bought and installed into my current factory set up.

I have that 6 cd thing, just lying there, since I have an aftermarket h/u but I'm getting another one soon, probably coming in next week, getting a pioneer indash screen

I wouldn't go with an oem anything if you're going to bother to remove the original. Lots of great aftermarket hu's out there...go with mp3 playable and you don't need that 6disc oem crap.

well i was at the dealer and they told me that they cannot order it which i think is bullshit but whatever.

the only reason why i want to stick with OEM is because i have yet to find an HU that looks alright with where the system is placed. i mean...it's in the middle of everything. i have not been looking really hard for an HU but it would be really really nice to see pics of ppl's HU's on a gen5. does anyone have pics?
