double-din with scosche dash kit

I am going to buy the Clarion MaX685BT....I way planning on using the scosche dash kit...i wanted to make sure that this set-up will work..

Scosche TA2053B / TA2053
Crutchfield said that."Fold-down face receivers may not fit your vehicle. Please verify that your new receiver does not have a fold-down face." the screen on the max685bt slides down and out..Hoping someone can tell me if it will work before i spend all this money to find out it doesnt..

You'll need to post some pictures of your problem so we can see why it's not fitting...

Okay... I fixed the problem... It now opens ok...but here are the before and after pics.

Before:

After:

Tell me what you guys think...

On another note im still having the problem with the dvd player..I cant get it to play at all..All it says is "audio only"...I ran the ground from the head unit to one side of a switch and the other side of a switch goes to the lamp wire of the parking brake... when the car is on i can flip the switch and the brake light shows up on the dash but it still wont show video? WTF

thats probably cause you did your wiring wrong. basicly, all you did was make a switch to turn a lightbulb on and nothing more. there is a parking brake wire, you need to run that to the parking brake switch. As for fitment, it looks like it's sticking out a little far, but it's hard to tell with a head on shot.

Well on the audio harness it should be labled, and then just use a wiring diagram for your make and model.

Black wire in aftermarket harnesses is allways chassis ground.

just ground the ebrake wire on the radio harness and be done with it, you don't need to use the ebrake wire from the car at all and you don't need a switch the company only puts ebrake wires on the radios for liability reasons.

then it may be like the new pioneer radios, you may need to switch around a wire or two google your radio and see what comes up. Let me know what the model number is and I'll try to come up with something.
