High output alternator for my Gen 3 V6 for my system? Actually, what would be better to help stop dim the lights and better sound quality, BLUE OPTIMA BATTERY 31M or HIGH OUTPUT ALTERNATOR?

Alternator will make the bigger difference.

Don't buy Optima. There's much better available at similar prices.

I'll check under my hood when I get a chance and get back to you. I don't recall what it is off the top of my head... all I know is that it can run two big amps & dual 12's & separates & 6x9's for well over an hour with the car turned off, no sweat. I used to have an Optima, wasn't impressed.

SVR Audio Series batteries. Simply incredible performance, I couldn't kill mine when I *did* try to. The SVR 31-12 will drop straight into a Gen4, dunno about the other gens. It says it's only 500CCA, but then again CCA is just about as accurate as the wattage is on an amp. Anyway, they're cheaper than Optimas, and they perform 10x better imho. I couldn't ask for a better battery. All the car audio fanatics in my area have been swearing by this battery for some time now.

EDIT: MSRP on this bad boy is only $95. You can't beat that with stick!

mralternator.com has a 130 amp one for $210.
mean-green.com also has them but I don't know the price.
