Lightbulb Wiring Harness Question

This may be a dumb and obvious question to ask but if I buy this http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=12412 wiring harness for my 1989 Toyota Corolla, will it fit into my Pioneer aftermarket stereo or will i have to manually snip and hard wire the radio into the harness?... Same goes with Walmart's wiring harnesses

Wiring harnesses work by plugging into the plug that is in your car, and the wires on the other end of the harness must be connected to the wires coming out of your new stereo one by one. The reason it is better is you can sit at a table or workbench, and solder or crimp the harness to your stereo, then all you have to do in the car is plug it in. That is much easier than soldering in the car. The wires are also color coded to your stereo, so it's easy to match the wires.

When you take the stereo out of your car, assuming it's a factory stereo, there will be a white plug that you disconnect from the factory stereo. That wiring harness connects to the plug that went into the stock stereo. YOu still need to attach that to the wiring harness of the Pioneer aftermarket stereo.

So basically what you have is two wiring harness. One that goes into the car, the on you linked above, and one that goes into the Pioneer stereo. You connect the two together. Crimp connectors and soldering are the preferred methods for connecting the harnesses. Don't pay more than $10 for a wiring harness. Any stereo shop should stock them.
