1995 Camry LE

Ok I have a question about the stock speakers. I want to change the stock speakers but how do I get to them? I dont wanna mess up the plastic edges. I also will be replacing the front speakers and will need help how to get to them. Any information is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

You have to remove the whole door panel. I'm pretty sure there's been something posted about it before. Try searching for how to do it.

Smile what a pain

I openned it up to get to the rear speakers and boy was that a pain.. you end up taking out the rear seats, side panels, center brake light, then finally the entire rear deck panel containing the grill section.. here are a couple of pics on what it looked like:

here's a good DIY how-to that I found on it before I started my project HERE

maybe theres something you can find for the fronts.
the thing about the rears are that its a 6 3/4" in the back, so you'll have to get an adapter plate and install a 6 1/2"..

good luck with that

Rich

The guy at best buy told me to get 6x9 lol I was able to get the front speakers installed, thanks for the pics. I have pictures of how to install the front speakers, I am working on a detailed tutorial. Also I was told to get 6.5" for the fronts, they fit but not perfect, any ideas?

Thanks

6x9's do fit in the rear of a gen 3. Just have to make new screw holes.

They won't sit flat against the rear deck though, but you can fix that with some foam weatherstripping.
