Use factory amp or Kenwood head unit output?

I have a Celica 2000 with (premium) 8 speaker system and just bought a Kenwood KDC-X592 at Crutchfield and 4x 50W RMS speakers. the guy on the phone recommended to use the factory amp for powering the speakers rather than the head unit's 4x 22W RMS (50W peak) outputs. They also sent a harness that's supposed to connect to the amp.

Does anyone have an idea how to find specs on the factory amp? I would rather use the head unit if the factory amp has the same power. The good thing about using the factory amp would be easy installation and not having to think what to do about factory tweeters

Would you recommend using the head unit directly or the factory amp?
