Hey uh good for you. Whats the point of this thread? It's like saying "hey guys i have a car"
and then people will respond by saying "oh".

Well, despite you not asking what we think or anything else, I'll say a few things. Kenwood decks are great value decks. The MP3 load time on them are very short. The only problem I ever had with a Kenwood deck was that the display would sometimes shut off when it got too cold and that the sound would sometimes distort when it got too hot. Other than that, they're great decks.

The only things I don't like about Kenwood decks are the rotary knobs or whatever you call them feel kind of cheap. Oh and that remote is a bit large. Also, you should have got the one with higher volt preouts, 4v is pretty much the standard/minimum you should get.

Nice deck

I got the KDC-X869 installed in my '97Cam this past summer. I like it a lot. One of the few differences I see bw the two is the 5V pre-outs on the X869
I paid ~$700 installed.

Have fun with yours man.

The pre-amp output voltage is not as significant as most poeple think. I highly doubt you can hear any difference with the 5v over 4v or even 2v for most applications.

I do know that the quoted preout voltage is dependant on the resistance of the load while measuring (or something like that) and the numbers can be missleading.

Even so, if I'm shopping and see two hu fairly equal otherwise I'm gonna go with whatever is the highest rated outputs. Especially if your gonna use all three and not the internal amp.

This is all true, but most amps can't handle more than 3-4volts anway. Lower quality amps can only handle 2volts.

Crossfire PDF
I'm using Crossfire as an example only because I run two of these in my car. Look what these amps can handle. For the most part a 4v head unit wouldn't be necessary and these are fairly high quality amps.

To convert US to Canadian, multiply by about 1.5
