How to convert an alarm to silent?

I have a CodeAlarm (can't rember the model right now) anyways, I want to set it up so it is silent, unless of course it is bumped or set off, but other wise; like when I 'arm-it' or 'disarm-it' I want it to just flash the lights, and not beep the siren... any ideas as to what I can do to solve this annoyance?

Thanks guys!

if you have the manual it should tell you how to program it. usually its just flicking the valet switch on and off a certain amount of times.

REALLY? I don't think so, mine is pretty old, so I don't think it has that many programming features, but I will still read over it again tonight...

Thanks for the tip tho... anyother suggestions?

Read the damn manual, 30 f-ing pages, just to find out that to have it programmed I must bring the car, and alarm to the installer for him to program it... too bad that is in AUSTIN F'ING TEXAS!

Man... any other ideas?

This sucks, I could never get it into "code-entry mode" (turning the ignition on and off like three times at half seccond intervals until the light begins to flash for code entry, then shutting off the ign. after the specified amount of flashes) but on top of that, I couldn't even find the four digit code I would have to enter, i found the shock sensor and the module, and unscrewed the module just to find 2 stickers on the back, neither with the four digit code... this fucking sucks... I dunno what to do now... anybody else got some wise ideas???
