Opinions PLEASEE!!

Okay so i am a noob to car audio considering my taco is my first vehicle, and im about to get started on a system and i would very much appreciate input
im thinking about a clarion max685bt(http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...+MAX685BT.html) head unit because i really like the simplicity of the ipod interface, i dont need the navi, and i just like the unit overall

also thinking about getting subs+box from supercrewsound and getting two image dynamics ID10's and powering them with a JL 500/1

please give me your opinions im really open to anything considering this is my first system

much thanks ahead of time

Can't really comment on the head unit since I've got a plain pioneer in mine but I can vouch for the supercrewsound box as I picked one up recently in the for sale threads... great quality box, there are other options out there like mr. marv who's mentioned alot on these boards but I really like how my setup turned out with the supercrewsound box.. fit is a bit snug and depending on the way the subs mount theres just a bit of rubbing with the rear seats if you have a double cab... as for the sub's and JL amp, you can't really go wrong with the JL amp since there are excellent reviews from most people on this board and on other sites like sound domain, same goes for the ID 10's, I have yet to hear anyone really complain about them.

I'm very happy with the quality of my access cab box from supercrewsound. It looks good, sounds good, and doesn't scream "Expensive Audio Equipment Here!"

My only issue with it is that it blocks access to the under-seat storage - I don't know if Mr. Marv could have avoided that or not. I don't think that will be a problem with a double cab.

Is this the box you're considering?

How big of a sub does that box handle? is there a certain type of sub to buy so it fits? I'm assuming we need a thin sub.

the box has an option of 8 or 10 inch cutouts and has 6" of mounting depth if you get the extra mounting depth. On supercrew they offer them with the image dynamics id or idq subs

Is the shipping time pretty decent for supercrewsounds? I live in Hawaii and I know its gonna be a while already.
