2002 camry alarm system?

first off, i'm new to the site and glad to be here!

hope someone can help me.
i replaced the car battery yesterday, hooked the cables back up and the alarm started going off. stopped the siren with the remote. but it kept on doing this. tried to reset the system with the ignition key and pushing the LED button on the dash but no luck. car wouldnt start, it would run for a couple of seconds then die. now it wont even do that much. door ajar light keeps staying on now. radio and a/c wont come on with the key, windows dont work either. good news is that the alarm isnt trying to go off anymore.

the remote will lock/unlock the doors and parking lights flash.
i've checked fuses, etc......cant find anything wrong.

any ideas on what it could be?
also, i'd like to bypass this whole alarm system as well.....

i tried a search in a few different areas on here but didnt come up with a problem like this.

If I had to guess, I would say that your Door-Closed sensor has been compromized. With the door always "open" even when it's shut, the alarm should go haywire. Also, this will make in impossible to turn the alarm off after it starts honking since the Double-Turning of the engine usually shuts off the alarm, unless the door is open.

I dont know how to fix the problem, but I know that sometimes in the cold, my 1996 has door-sensor issues and yes I wake my neighbors up when those issues arrise.

I hope this helps.
