Ohm Question
I have a 580W Amp and two 12" subs that are 600W RMS. I have a dual channel amp, and because the subs are wired in a box, the box only has one + and one - input. The amp however has 4 inputs like so:
[+.......Bridged.......-]
[+ Left -.....+ Right -]
[O......O......O.......O]
The subs are 4 Ohm Bridged. My question is if i wire the Left + with the Right + and connect that to the positive jack on the subwoofer, and the Left - and the Right - and connect that to the negative jack of the subwoofer, will it be 8 Ohms? And will that create a louder deeper bass? And is this more efficient or just a waste?
The Amp can take 2-8 Ohms stereo and 4-8 Ohms bridged.
