Is there anyway to connect my factory my factory xm antenna to my Kenwood 8120?

I just got my Kenwood 8120 and would really like to use the factory antenna for Xm satellite radio. Is there a cable I can buy to accomplish this? BTW I have 2009 Tacoma Access Cab.

Thanks in advance!

Need more info.

I have XM in all my cars....from after market XM to XM equipped Head Units. Either way, you will need a XM antenna & Tuner.....built in or not.

The XM Antenna will have the cable included on the antenna.....all one piece. The XM Antenna will then run to the XM Tuner, then to the Head Unit. If after market, you will need the XM Unit. If built in the Head Unit, you can tune it from there.

Good luck...

The Kenwood 8120 is XM ready. I guess what I need to know is can I run the prewired satellite antenna to the XM tuner then to the Kenwood 8120?

I think your issue is the connection between the 8120 and your XM receiver. Antenna position isn't going to change, it's still connected to the same point in the XM receiver. You need to look into whether a cable is available that will interface from the 8120 to the stock XM receiver.

FWIW, I'm putting the same HU (DDX812, i.e. no nav) with Sirius (non-oem) in my '06 Camry. It should be a piece of cake as I had to buy a Sirius tuner and Kenwood cable to make the connection from the 812 to the Sirius receiver. OEM might be tougher.

Anyone know where I can find a cable that connects directly to the xm receiver? I beleive the factory wiring for XM only comes down somewhere under the dash, but then you have to get anoter cable to run it to the head unit.
