Help w/ 91 4-Runner Alarm "Brain" Location
Hi, I have a 91 Toyota 4-Runner way down in Baja Mexico. I bought a second remote key for the alarm. I followed the directions in the manual to program the alarm, but can't find the main unit. The manual says it should be under the drivers seat, but it isn't there. I've done quite a bit of panel removing, but still can't find it.
It's got the Toyota Vehicle Security System (TVSS) and the unit is BABMW-8170.
I have to find it so that I can use the buttons on it to allow it to work with my new remote key.
