Recommend an iPod ready car stereo

I have the alpine 9883, which is the same as the 9884 but the older version. It works really well with my ipod video and all of my friends various models. The only Ipods I haven't tried it with are the touch and iphone. Any ipod with updated firmware should work with all of the newer alpine units. I think alpine are a good choice for anyone who is going to mostly use an ipod, because it seems to be a main feature, not something tacked on so ipod suport could be added to the box. The one thing to remember about the Alpine X100 and x001 are that they don't play cds without a trunk changer, so go for something like the 9884 if you still want to use cds sometimes.

eclipse is a company that makes head units, like alpine, sony, or pioneer. It's a brand.
