I've been having a problem with the factory alarm on my 99 Camry. I don't know if it is simply going off because of the sensitivity or if it is a wiring problem. At first I thought it was being set off on purpose, but I have seen it go off without anyone being near it. Let me know if I'm crazy, or if someone else has noticed this problem too.

I'm not sure about the Camry alarm, but I doubt it has shock sensors or motion sensers. Sounds like a wiring problem. Take it to your dealer.

Factory alarms don't have motion or shock sensors. They're simply wired so that if a door is open the alarm would go off.

I doubt that it is anything to do with someone setting the car off, take the car to an alarm installer or take it to the dealership if it is still under warranty.
