I had an anti-theft idea

This is on my regular cab pickup. I don't have any stereo equipment yet, but considering it. Have had bad luck in the past and gone through many alarms that never worked.
Somehow locking the seat to keep someone from tilting it forward and removing anything from the back. What do ya think, I haven't worked anything out yet, but ideas appreciated!

It wouldn't be too hard to fabricate a bracket at the top of the seat back that you could bolt to the back of the cab but it sure would stiffen up the seat... Probably your best defense is creating a fake head unit cover out of an old OEM radio so it looks like your truck only has cheapo stock stuff so they will pass on yours and look for another victim. You might want to consider not blasting that nice new system when you are close to where you park at night so they don't know it's there too.

Truth is... if a thief wants it bad enough, he'll get it if the truck is in an accessible area. I know it sucks but those bastards are pretty crafty and don't care what they tear up.

I hear that. Thieves have broken into my shit even when I haven't had anything to steal. Honestly I don't know why I'm even considering stereo equipment because of all the break ins and non that I've had (I don't lock my doors anymore cause they will get in)
