Try cleaning the connectors for the face to the radio. Also, you can take apart the face and clean the PC board and micro switches with electronic contact cleaner or alcohol if in a pinch. Alcohol has too much water though, so try to avoid it if you can. That actually is a common problem for a detachable face radio.

really? i did not know that was so common. learn somethin new everyday. ill give that a try though. i was actually gonna take the thing apart and make sure everything was connected as it is supposed to and fix anything if it was broken. figured a wire just came undone and was gonna solder it back on.
