When my car is at idle my subs hit really hard, but while Im at the same volume and start to drive, the subs seem to not be as loud, they still hit hard, but not as hard when the car is at idle.
Is this normal?

its probably all in your head....if anything, your subs'll hit harder when your car is running cuz the alternator will cause the battery to have more voltage = more power to amps....

It's road noise while you're drive that causes that. Insulate outside noise with some sound deadening material. Also, while at a stand still, your mind is concentrating on the audio and notice it more. Whereas while you're driving, you're busy observing traffic and "zone out" some of the sound.
