Urban Runner Stereo Replacement

Hi everyone,

I have a technical question relating to the Urban Runner.

I am replacing the horrible Eclipse/TomTom unit with a Kenwood DNX-8120. I knew that I should expect wiring to be different since Toyota basically slapped in an aftermarket deck at the factory.

Here is my hold up:

There is a removable harness that interfaces with the Eclipse unit and the factory harness. The problem is that the factory harness plugs look like no other Toyota standard harness.

Is there a harness available, or will I have to cut this removable harness? It appears to be color-coded to the standard for aftermarket decks.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I know I'm not the only one to ditch this deck!

Thanks.

I have an urban runner and dont blame for replacing the head unit, that modle of tomtom suks! I just tried to put xm on mine, but becaude it is basically an afermarket stero i had to order parts over the internet and try to install it but could not figure out how they secured the head unit to get it out and then had to take it to the deler and pay$95 for them to install. this head unit is really not that good and is very confusing to deal with.
