My Amp???

Hey guys i have just a small 200 watt amp and i was moving it and i moved the ground to a new spot and it wont ground to anything. I went to use smaller gauge wire but nothing of course. the fuses are good and the wiring is all good it just wont ground???

did you disconnect the negative battery terminal when you moved this around? you may have created a short by not doing so.. try grounding back to the original spot. If it still doesnt work, you blew something

is the new spot bare metal or is there some paint present?....u must ground to bare metal

Make sure you hooked up the remote wire too. |: To verify that the amplifier is in proper working condition attach it right to a battery
(- to -, + and remote to +)

Also, perhaps your fuse on your positive wire gave out.

Hey guys thanks for the help. I have replaeced the fuse in the amp ad the one under the hood seems to be fine. It has one of those red lights, and green lights for when the ground is bad. right now i can only get the Red light light which means bad ground to come on. The spot where i grounded it to is bare metal all paint was scrapped away. i dont know if anything will work. Last time i blew an amp you could see and smell it. When you take off the case therer was a huge burn spot. the amp i have now there was no wierd smell and the was no burnt spot. It has a clear viewing window. thanks again guys,
