Post about cd player more research

After a week of doing a little research on the net, I found out what is in my 91 tercel is a cd player where you put one cd in at a time. I also called alpine1 and got the name, address of a couple of dealers in my area that are alpine dealers. So, I guess I am gonna go to both, one of them offers free quote. So I can find out if there is some way an fm modulator will work to get cd player going. I think the problem is the cd player is not hooked up to the front speakers. Old owner had it wired to rear speakers, which he took out and did not bother to install the old in- factory speakers again The speaker wires I can see are the 2 in the trunk and 2 more when I pull out the ashtray, so cd player is not hooked up to any speakers, so for all i know, its playing, but I can't hear it cuz its not hooked up to the front speakers
Other that all this, Love the car! Lots of power for a little car. has a 5.1 liter engine. and it runs excellant so I could not go wrong paying 1400 for the car. Had all fluids changed when I bought it, had brakes, hoses, etc. all checked- mechanic said all look good. So my only bitch is Why the hell didn't this guy(if he had the know how to hook or un hook) complete the job and wire the cd player to the front speakers, other than that I love the car!

Gotta like those 5.1L engines in those tercels

I hope one of the shops can help you out, but don't spend too much fixing old stuff, consider new if the estimate is too high.

Good luck!
