Connecting an ipod to a factory stereo

Hi Guys, I am looking into my options for connecting an ipod to the factory cd/casette headunit on my 2000 Solara. I tried the wireless fm transmitter that plugs into the cig. lighter but the quality is not very good, so I am looking into inexpensive options that I may be able to do myself to direct wire the ipod to the stereo. I know I should buy a new headunit that has aux. inputs but I want to see what other options I may have as well. I'm not sure if I can use an adaptor at the antenna wire like they use for aftermarket cd changers. Any suggestions or advice would really help me out. Thanks a lot.

Dave

I believe this one works for 1998-2004 toyotas as long as you do not have the cd changer hooked up. Sounds just like CD quality. I'd call to double check capatabilty though.
