Im trying to decide on a new sub for my truck (07 Taco AC) I will have about 2.5 cubic feet of airspace to work with. Right now I have an 8w7, sounds really good, great sound quality. However my lows seem to be lacking a bit and I am looking to upgrade a bit (SPL baby) When mounted the sub will most likely be pointed at the roof.
I have about 12" depth to work with. And not a huge budget. If anyone can offer any assistance i would appreciate it.
you could go with a kicker 12L7 I believe they need about 2 cubic feet for a SQ box and it will sound great

I think i am actually sold on a Memphis 12" M3. I heard one in a 2.5 cube ported box running at about 500w (way underpowered) and im thoroughly impressed. Im going to be running a 2000w PA amp at 1ohm (about 1200w)
I have seen some of the Fi's they are impressive (i looked into them way back when i first saw steve meade's tahoe w/ 4 Fi BTL 18"s) they are nice, but i have a feeling they will be a little out of my price range.
The memphis I am picking up soon is brand new in box w/ 4 year no questions warranty for 250.
