3rd Generation Ipod connection

Hey guys,

I currently have an rca to headphone jack wire running from 2 inputs from my pioneer deck along with rca's to my amp in the other 2 inputs. My problem is that when playing my ipod through this wire i only get sound from my rear speakers. What am i doing wrong here?

Thanks for any feedback!

I'm not sure I understand your connections. You have and rca to headphone running from your radio to your amp? Or is it running from you IPOD to an input on the radio?

one rca wire is running from the back of my deck to my Ipod, another rca is running from the back of my deck to my amp. The deck is a Pioneer if that helps.

If you could find links to specifications of your deck/amplifier it would help a lot. But from my point of view at the moment, you might just have faulty wires if you get full output from other sources (CD, Radio).

not faulty wires.. there are 2 sets of RCA inputs. each set has a white and a red. I just want to know how to be able to have signals to all four speakers, front and back.

Your problem is that both of the RCA's on the back of your radio are outputs. One is for the sub, and the other is for front speakers. I assume you have your ipod connected through the front output of the radio and it is somehow passing signal and playing through the rear. Here is a copy of the install manual for the radio so you can see what I'm talking about.

You need this interface to correctly use your ipod with that H/U.
