Hi all, i got installed 2 amps for my car. One 4-channel(400w), and one mono sub. As far as i know, there is a 4g wire that goes to the battery to dis cap, that spilts into two 4g wires that go into each sub. Being that said, i have a 09 Corolla, and my gas milage went from an avg 42mpg, to 33 mpg(my entire commute is highway? WTF??

o_O you think your sound system has an effect on your gas mileage???? Chalk it up to colder weather and call it a day..

Yea no way unless everything together added an extra 500 lbs.

Your stereo will definitely make your fuel consumption increase, but not by that much even when taking weight and electrical loads into consideration.
