What do you guys think of this deck? A JVC KDS590 from pep boys for only $99.99. I need some help on picking out a good deck for my car.

Uhm JVC is an ok value brand but it's not as reliable as say Kenwood. Also, never buy from Pepboys.

LOL....Pep Boys car audio....

www.sounddomain.com
www.crutchfield.com

May not be cheap, but allows you to see different products and read reviews about them.

Personally, I trust QUALITY name brands (i.e. Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer). Avoid crap like Sony, JVC, Aiwa, etc.

Might as well pick it up at Circuit City for the same price (I think) with free installation (but you'll have to buy the harnesses... around $30).

$30 bucks for a harness? That's not free installation then...

Well Circuit City uses 2 harnesses HU brand specific to universal and universal to car brand specific. Makes things easier if you have to uninstall it later on or whatever. Or you could buy the harness somewhere else for like $10-15 and do it yourself but I'd rather pay the extra $15 just to get it installed for me if I didn't know what I was doing.

If you buy from crutchfield, they give you specific instructions and everything you need to install it yourself...thats the only advantage of crutchfield because they are really expensive compared to other online dealers. I wouldnt go with JVC. Kenwood or Alpine is better.
