2003 Echo Audio Issue

I just bought a 2003 2 door Toyota Echo. It was the stripped down version, no cd player or tape deck just a stereo. I bought a new Sony CD player to put in, and I am goign to attempt it myself, but I can't figure out how to get the old one out? Can anyone help?

This is my first time installing a stereo... and I can't figure out how to pop the old one out. I have the kit for the new one , to go around the head unit. There is no where to reach around and pop the old one out. Also, I have this tube sub woofer thingy I got as a gift, and I wan tot hook that up, but how do you run the wires? I hope someone will over look the stupidity of this question, and answer.. I don't want to do this wrong
