Plz help.. 1995 4runner wiring questions

I have an alpine deck, in my 1995 4runner. Here is the problem, i wired it up like i was supposed to. (note: the AMP+ b and the Power antena pins were connected on my wire harness i bought.) But when i played cds, the rear speakers didnt work. When i turned on the the radio the power antena went up and the rear speakers worked. That led me to beilive that there was some sort of amplifer (i dont know why there would be my alpine puts out a good ~40w per channle back there) that needs to get turned on. So i then soldered the amp pin with the remote start and cut the amp/antena connection. Now the antena is always up (used to only come up during radio) and the rear speakers still onyl work when i use the radio. Anyone got any ideas?

THanks,
Mike

the antenna power wire should go to the antenna itself and nothing else...

the amp turn on wire you dont need so just tape off the end so its not exposed. I don't think you have any kind of amp in there.

Maybe this will help: http://www.installdr.com/InstallDocs...a/4Runner.html
