Gen4 Camry front speaker installation solution!!!

Are you having problems installing new speakers in your Gen4 Camry? Having trouble getting the door panels off? Don't want to drill new holes? Here's the answer...

1. Remove the screws on the bottom of the door panel and from the armrest.

2. Lift up the corner of the door panel, reach in and remove factory speakers with a 10mm wrench.

3. Carefully remove the black plastic backing on the factory speakers. It is held on with some nasty glue. A knife helps to cut through the glue. Be careful and take your time so you can reuse it.

4. Use your Dremel tool with a cutting wheel (you have one right? If not, go get one with your Christmas money) and cut the speaker out of the surrounding triangular metal mounting bracket.

5. Get some heavy-duty adhesive and glue your new speakers into the mounting bracket you have just created.

6. Replace the black plastic backing.

7. Wait overnight for your adhesive to dry.

8. Bolt them back in place with the factory screws in the factory holes.

It easy! I chose this method because my Boston Acoustic CX6 speakers didn't have a big enough bolt circle that would allow me to drill new holes in the doors anyways. The factory hole was too big.

Here is a link to the pics I took...just cut and paste it...
