Tacoma Security System

I recently purchased a 2000 Tacoma pre-runner SR-5 with no owners manual. I bought a 2001 book on-line but still have no answer to my question. It has a keyless entry security system with a valet switch on the left side of the dash. How do I program it to beep the horn when I arm or dis-arm it or is that even an option?

Thanks for any help or ideas.

If you have a valet button on the side of your kick panel its not a factory alarm. In order to do what ever programing you want to do the first thing you need to do is find out what alarm you have. To do this you trace the wire from the valet button to the alarm and then go from there. If its a clifford or any dei piece you can go to www.directechs.com to find out the programing.

The key is the remote. It is a securikey+ with three buttons on it: two black for lock and unlock and one green that activates the headlamp for a period of time.

Thanks for the replies. A fellow knew what I was looking for and very graciously sent me a photocopy of the Securikey+ booklet. All is now well. Thanks again.

Ummmmmm?? You wouldnt still havent to have a copy of that, that you would love to share would ya???? I lost mine I also have the TDS (Securikey+ Alarm system, made by audiovox..... also the same system as the prestige by audiovox.) Dealer installed option. I also wanted to say that I hate the big ugly key with the buttons on it, I NEVER use mine. My truck came with (2) the dreaded key and a pretty nice boomerang remote. I have since bought 1 new replacement remote ($30.) and the dealer gave me a new remote free. The UGLY key stays home! BUT if you would love to share those copies.....

I would be most grateful !!
