06 factory alarm

My Double cab has the factory alarm, but I never got the remote from the dealer where I bought the Tundra used. My truck is at the The Toyota dealership right now, and they want $ 129 for a replacement remote and $49 to program it. What features does the factory remote come with? The truck is an SR5? Any info would be appreciated Joe

Just in case you did not know, you can get a decent after market alarm installed for just over what you would be paying to get your current alarm up and running.

Thanks for the reply Ryan. It turned out that the factory alarm was already bypassed by an aftermarket one installed sometime in the past. I am going to try to make that one work as soon as I can find out what it is. JoeC

Try dropping the brain of the unit and reading any sticker that may still be there. The brain is usually secured well above the pedals on the drivers side.

Good Luck
