what kind of amp should i get?

First thing you do with $1000 to put into a system is run away from Best Buy and ignore any and all advice the little $8/hr dipshit behind the commission counter throws at you. Take yourself to as many legit shops as you can and listen to what they have on demo. Then you can either buy through them(service) or online to save.

Just wondering, do speed shops earn commission? I usually goto "The Install Shop" in Rochester NY. The best and most reputable in Rochester. And there's usually ONLY one guy that sits in the front that take the orders and shiz. Do those guys earn commission? They sell JL audio and various others, but no Eclipse.

I am considering Eclipse, but man, it's like $800 for 2 12's! Are they good as their price says?
