You have two 4ohm terminals built into the box. You have a lot of different choices as to how to wire them. You can either buy a 2 channel amp that can put out your desired power at 4ohm to each speaker or you can find a 1 channel 2 ohm stable amp that can power them both. Each of your speakers are 200watt RMS.

Personally I would go with a 2 channel amp, if you're looking to stay with Rockford, I would go with the Rockford Punch 801s.

The difference between mono (1), 2 channel and multichannel is just the number of channels the amp outputs.

It's an average entry level system. It's not gonna knock any fillings loose, but it will add some punch to your music.

If you want a prefab enclosure that will hit harder and possibly sound a little better look into Audiobahn. They'll be more expensive though. If you like sounddomain they have a pair of Audiobahn prefabricated 12s for $270.

Just a tip, prefabricated enclosures generally don't sound as good as if you went out and bought two speakers and dropped them in a custom enclosure. If you can't build your own enclosure it can be a lot more expensive though.

Personally if I were in your shoes I wouldn't go with a Rockford amp for $350. I'd go with a Profile for $150ish and get some better speakers. There are a lot of reliable budget amps out there where you can save yourself some money and put that extra cash towards some better sound.

how much you looking to spend on yoru amp? if you can put out about $250 or so get a hifonics brutus bx1500d... a lot of people really love these and you can get em cheap on ebay... they put out 500w @ 4 ohms, 1000w @ 2 ohms and 1500w @ 1 ohm. It will slightly overpower your subs, so just keep the gain down.

I wouldn't go with RF for subs or amp. I just don't like any of their stuff.

His speakers are rated at 400RMS combined. That HiFonics would put out 1000RMS. It's a bit overkill, but a good price and a good amp to have if he plans on upgrading in the future. Where did you see it for that price?

ebay... youd be surprised how many people at caraudio.com forums have em and almost all of em got them off ebay and have no complaints about the amp... didn't realize they were 400 wrms combined... well my suggestion is don't get those subs still but if you must find a cheaper amp and spend the saved money towards speakers.

im planning on spending around 1g on a new headunit, speakers, amp, 2 12' subs, and a cap (1g not including wires)

i got the premium sound system in my camry right now...i got a head unit with a cd/casette player....and tweeters...which i hear most camrys dont have?

pictures of my headunit - speakers/tweeters ...jus in case u dont know what im talking about

http://pt.szstrike.net/headunit.JPG
http://pt.szstrike.net/sp-tw.JPG

as for the speakers, cap and headunit im planning on getting...here it is...

headunit - http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/PIODEHP5500MP
6 1/2 speakers - http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/ROCHPC2206U
6 x 9 speakers - http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/ROCHPC2369
cap - http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/ROCCPC1003

i dont plan on running an amp to the speakers

all the stuff ive listed above...and including the subs and the 801s is running about 980bones...not including shipping

and i heard installing the speakers on the camry is a pain in the arse...so im thinking about getting bestbuy to install everything

one of my good friends works there..and can get some serious hook ups on wires and car audio installs...

A cap for this system isn't worth the money at this point. If you actually notice a difference with it, it will be small and not worth your $70. Look into a better battery or alternator first.

Have you heard those speakers? And have you heard other speakers in the same price range? I'd strongly recommend listening to more speaker brands if you have not done so already.

I was planning on getting the following set-up:

RF
RFP44212 Subs $179.99 per speaker (12")
800 watts
400 watts RMS
Duel Voice
No Box

RF amp 8015
2400 max power $499.99

Plus planning to get cap, wires, and installation there too.
It sounds REALLY NICE from what I heard, but I don't know if it's the best way to go. Rough cost is about $1,100 to $1,200 dollars.

I am stuck like you s6arface

If you're willing to drop down around $850-900 on a pair of drivers and an amp you have more options available to you than Rockford.

Look into companies like Elemental Designs and Adire Audio.

Yeah, true Jajay

If you guys had about $1000, what brand would you get? The best speakers that the rep said at Bestbuys said were those he should me. Those RF's. They sounds pretty nice though. I dunno. Total noob with car audio.
