Why not just listen to them yourself with your own music? That would be the best judgment. I'm sure either brand would sound good as long as it's used in a properly built box.

Rockford has never made a single product I have ever considered buying. There is always better out there for the price.

RF is decent stuff in my opinion, but they charge wayyyy too much for what you get....that, and all their new stuff looks cheap and shitty....

If I had to pick from the two, I would pick Kicker. RF had above average products back in the days but now their stuff just seems average to me.

For subs with me it's allways been kicker or bust. I started off with some CompVRs and they pruduce an amazing amount of bass for the price. Infact they are one of the best ones to do SPL competitions with. But i've traided up to the SoloBaric L7 line and those are even better. I'd take the CompVRs over RF anyday.

I recomend the kicker 1200.1 for it. It will definatly supply the power you need.

I hate RF! Kicker is pretty decent but you can certainly find better for your money.

bass boost doesn't do anything more than raise the bass level and distort it a hell of a lot. i would sugest getting a class D amp. Mono block would be your best bet.
