So what I'm thinking of for now I'm gonna get a Philips cassette adapter and just plug it in a protable CD player or Mp3 player. How would the sound quality be?
I'm tight on money right now so can't really get a new deck. In the future I will go to Best Buy and get a new deck. I see that most decks now have aux input for Mp3 players. Which deck would you reccomend for a $100-150 price range? Or should I wait till the summer for better ones at lower prices cuz I can wait I'm not in a hurry.
If I get a new deck how would it affect my JBL speakers, would it improve or have poorer sound? I heard for ppl who replaced their Bose deck in Nissans with an aftermarket one, their Bose speakers were not as great when they had the Bose deck. Is this goin to be a similar issue to JBL?

The sound quality will be that of a cassette tape.
Look into the Eclipse CD1200. great unit for just a little over the 150 mark.
also comes with a 3 yr warranty and 1 yr theft guarantee.
The performance will not change. as for the bose systems sounding different that is not true with the proper interface module they sound no different with aftermarket head units. a lot of times they will get better depending on the processing abilities of the new unit.
If you need a good shop in the Bay area (avoid the best buys type stores as the people working in these stores do not always have a lot of knowledge to get you exactly what you need) let me know I will be happy to get you the name of a good shop.
