AE92 front speaker boxes.

Hey all AE92'ers.. I don't know if this is missing in my car or if it is actually an extra option.

While running around in the scrap yard I noticed an AE92 SR5, so I wanted to see what was left inside and to my surprise the car had fron speaker boxes for the 4" speakers?!

Now do you all have this underneath the dash, or is it an extra option for a premium sound system or something like it?

I'm asking aout the boxes, not the speakers.

Do your speakers mount in two black boxes before they mount on the inside of the dash or do they directly mount on the inside of the dash?

No boxes to be found. Maybe it was just on the newer ones?

Alright you are the third AE92 driver that doesn't have them.

The reason I'm asking people is because my car came stripped of all the speakers and the deck, so I don't know if it had these boxes or not.

I'm assuming it's a permium sound system to give better sound quality out of the 4" front speakers

OMG!..... really ahmed?? you dont have the box on the speaker??

i've only worked or stripped GTS's so didn't really notice it but all of them had the box.....

I feel sorry now....you can have my extra boxes....

Itchy, I already picked up two boxes from the yard for $3! But I'm just wondering if they came on the SR5's! I guess they come on the GTS's according to what you're saying..

never really taken apart SR5 dash before, so i can't say it only came on GTS....
