Replacing DVD unit for '06 GPS

Howdy,

I posted in the Highlander forum but on a suggestion I'm trying you folks here as well...

The Mrs. left her window open on a dark and stormy (and cold) night and turned the DVD unit in our 2006 Highlander into a block of ice.

This is the player for the GPS map disk under the driver-side front seat for the Toyota factory system with the in-dash 6 disc CD. I have an estimate from the dealer of $2800 installed including a new map disk.

I'm wondering if this something I can replace myself, but I haven't been able to find any part information. I tried the links in the DIY thread.

Any suggestions on where to turn next?

I vaguely remember the salesman saying all the 2006s had the same GPS. Is this true? If so, I can expand my search.

(BTW, the head unit works fine--I can control the radio and in-dash CD changer, climate controls, etc. I just need to replace the drive for the map disk.)

(Also, BTW, I am aware of other after-market options for GPS, but I'd prefer to keep the GPS on the existing touch screen.)

Thanks!
