Amp + Sub matching

I have a sony xm-zzr3301 with:

max output - 600w x 1 (4 ohms) - 1100W x 1 (2ohms)
rms output - 330w x 1 (4ohms) - 600w x 1 (2 ohms)

also most important

Speaker Outputs: Although this is a mono amplifier, there are screw terminals for two speakers (each terminal is 0.35" wide). They are not stereo outputs, but summed (L+R) mono, and internally wired in parallel. If you connect two 4-ohm speakers to the amp, the amplifier will see a 2-ohm load.

Subwoofer - Bazooka BT1024DVC -
  • 10" dual 4-ohm voice coil woofer
  • power handling: 12-500 watts RMS (250 per voice coil)
  • impendence 4 ohms
do u think that this will work - is it too much power for the subwoofer because the momo amp is parallely wired from inside so if i add two coils it is going to show up as 2 ohms. i could not find the peak for the sub but i think in most cases its double right.

please help

Thanks in advance

First of all peak power doesn't mean anything and is useless, so don't ever pay attention to it. As far as wiring the sub with DVC you still only use one hookup from the amp not two. Follow the guide at this link, where you hook the amp positive to one sub positive, and place a jumper between the two sub positives, and place the amp negative to sub negative, and a jumper between the two sub negatives. This configuration will show a 2 ohm load to the amp, so supposedly you'll get 600 watts, but its a sony amp so you won't really get that much most likely. For anyone interested this is a list of wiring diagrams for almost all possible amp and sub wiring configurations. Good luck and tune it when its in so it sounds good and don't drive the amp to clipping because that will damage the sub if its not a heavy duty sub.
