Sony Xplod Aux Input Problem!

Hey guys I got a Sony Xplod CD Player (CDX-FW570). It works ok (dont like xplod but i got a deal on it so yeah)

Anyway, I bought one of those Y cords to the aux so i can listen to my ipod, but when I try to play it, the volume is EXTREMELY quiet. I have to turn everything up all the way to be able to hear the music even a little bit (but its still so quiet I can only hear the music with the car off)

I tried messing with the settings and stuff, also double checked the connections, but I couldn't figure anything out to make it sound the way it should.

Anybody know anything about sonys or aux inputs?

I just recently installed an Xplod with an Aux hookup as well, but don't have such an issue.

The volume MAY be a little bit lower than when playing CDs but not to an extreme.

Truely check that you're pushing the Aux cable IN all the way. I found one time mine wasn't "clicked" in and it was half the sound...sounds simple, and perhaps you've tried it, but just throwing that out there.

Also you mentioned a Y connector? Why a Y? What else are you hooking up at the same time?
