Unhappy Audio Noob...with issues..Dead Head Unit?

Hi everyone! I'm new here, and not even really here for myself but here's my question/issue.

My younger brother has an '08 Tacoma, stock everything, he added a sub and an amp, which is about it. Everything has been working fine with it until he decided he was going to take OUT the sub and amp to clean the interior out (The sub sits behind the drivers seat in its box).

So as he was taking everything out..he carelessly managed to touch his "ground" wire to the "remote" wire...

Needless to say, his head unit did not agree with his little mistake at all. It has no power. Neither do the two 12v things underneath, or the clock. The airbag lights still work. AC and heat lights work. Everything but those two things and the stereo.

He checked and changed some fuses under the hood, but still gets nothing.

Is there another fuse box other than the one under the hood and the one under the drivers side dash? Has his head unit bit the dust?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

is the head unit stock? if not then there is a fuse or two on the back of the hu itself. Maybe the stock one has that too, I'm not sure. Check those and recheck the fuses under the dash, because if those 3 things are out I don't know how it could be just the hu, I bet its a fuse.
