Exclamation <<<new Sound System>>>

what does every1 think bout runnin two 12 inch power acoustik subs (FUBR) powered by a Power Acoustik Gothic series 1600 sending out around 310X2 rms and a 2-channel amp...the subs are around 800 watt rms alone and like 2000 watts regular...and finally a power acoustik 1.2 farad cap

so my question is....what do u people think about power acoustik in general...i heard that the amps overheat.....if anyone can help me figure out if the amp im talkin about will destroy the subs that would be great...its at www.poweracoustik.com go to products and go to amps...gothic series and find it then do the same for the subs.....this is gonna happen soon so if TN members would help.....oooooo...and im pretty sure i need the cap...right

and....what effects will this system have on my gen3 cam wit 190K...........tnks

That amp will destroy itself before it destroys those subs. If it only puts out 310 by 2 and each sub is 800 RMS then you got nothing to worry about except the lack of bass. As for verheating, all amps heat up to a degree, i sugest just mounting it in an area that can get a let of air movement. I have never heard of that particular company but there are some rules that apply to all audio equipment.

well you can certainly destroy the subs if you allow them to be clipped by the amp

You used to be able to get Power Acoustik at Best Buy but I think they dropped it. That was their best brand they carried too. Circuit Citys best stuff is Alpine, Audiobahn and Polk/MOMO. They all take about 500-600 wrms for the models they carry, save one Audiobahn sub that I saw at a different store that I work (worked maybe?) at, that took 1000 wrms for the 10" model and 1100 for the 12".
