Smile How should I wire my system?

Alright, all my hardware is here...almost.

I have bought:

Two 12" subs
Two Rear 6.5"
Two Front 3"
Two 4"
One headunit (already connected to stock wiring)
One 800watt amp
One 400watt amp with EQ

I have bought no wiring or additional equip yet.
Opinionize to me on what wiring I should buy .

I have not bought a box for the subs either, as I do not know what the difference between the types are. Slot-port is obvious, I get that one hah .

I'm kinda-sorta new at car audio so:

What and how is the most optimal way to connect the Amp's to the battery, and what equip do I need to buy to do it. Also, how should I run the wiring though the car to the Amp (in trunk).

What ways are optimal to wire my car speakers (3", 6.5") to the headunit.

What would be the best way to wire the two subs to the 800 watt amp?

Extras:

I have the 4" pair of speakers left over at my disposal, so what mods or placement in the car should I put them. I am thinking of buying another 3" or 4" pair to even it out, so that I can also use the 400watt amp that is also at my disposal.

This is all going to be done on a Gen. 2 1989 Camry (I'm sure though that some info may be generalized across all Gen's or cars.)

Any car-audio or expertise would be greatly appreciated!

Get a 4-gauge wiring kit which will include cables, turn-on lead, fuse holder, fuse, and terminals. Get a distribution block to accept 4-gauge in and 3-4 8-gauge out. If you headunit has 3 sets of outputs, run 3 pairs of RCA. Sealed boxes are great for space saving and music "accuracy," slot-ported are typically 1.5X bigger, but produce a deeper bass. Go to here to get a good understanding about car audio.

well.....you will need to find out if the subs are 2 or 4 ohms each, how many channels are the amplifiers and if the wattages you gave are rms or max. You will also need to find out how many preamp outputs you have. If you have an amp for your mids, I wouldnt recommend running any speaker off your head unit power.

Behold the Power of eBay!

IMO: dont buy premium power/ground/speaker wires... Copper is copper. The only thing that may make a difference is if your car is oddly electromagnetic IE lots of neon or floresent lighting.. then you might want to consider sheilded RCA patch cables.

Yea, the only reason I've looked at brand names like Monster Cable is because they offer the SuperFlat wire. I've wired in the amp, subs, and rear a few days ago.

Make sure you get good rca's that are shielded so that u don't pick up interference from your power wire or at least try to run the rca's on the opposite side of the car. Wire is not wire. the higher grade stuf has better coating, and most of the time has more strands for better power transfer.

unless you have a highly disturbed atmosphere with electromagnetic interference (i think its actually been mentioned already on THIS post), then yes, you would use shielded wires. however, you can even make your own and would still sound the same if one were to NOT cross with power wires. strands of copper wire do count, but thats why there are AWG standards. if anything, you'd look for twists per inch...
