Question Ipod Adapter Hiss/pops

Using my cd changer, I always noticed a slight hiss noise in the background of CDs (just cd's, not radio/tape). It wasnt too bad tho. I recently installed a USA Spec PA15-Toy adapter. Now on both the CD changer and especially the Ipod adapter source there is a pretty bad hissing noise, and sometimes other various electrical noises. This is true for using both the ipod in and aux on the adapter. It could be either the adapter or the radio, I'm not sure.

Any ideas of how to fix? Thanks!

My guess is that it's your radio, not the adapter. CDs shouldn't ever hiss. Which sucks cause there's not much you can do to actually fix it. You may want to look into replacing it, an identical one can be found on eBay I'm sure if you want to maintain your factory look and keep the same iPod adapter. But it would probably be cheaper to put an aftermarket iPod stereo.

Ahh, okay, that's kind of what I was thinking. Hmm, probably just going try to send the adapter back and buy an aftermarket headunit.

Thanks.

Check for a good ground connection, and no shorts. If its not one of those you probably need a new one.
