Help getting wires through grommet between kick panel and door on Gen 3 camry
Well I tried using a coat hanger, that didn't go too well since it's very difficult to manuever it. I even tried cutting the part between the kick panel and door and using a coat hanger but still can't get it through. any other suggestions?

sorry no suggestions. I wrestled with a coat hanger too and was eventually successful after a sore back and cut hands.
What I did was make a hook at the end of the coat hanger. Shoved it through. Attached wire to hook and secured with electrical tape. Pulled coat hanger along with wire back out other end. Good luck.
not sure, but it sounds kind of similar to the gen2, what i did the first time round was push the wire in as far as i could then try and hook the wire with a coat hanger..... u might want to try some long barbeque tongs...that just came to mind....second time round after i took off the wheel, took off the cover thingy under the arch and pushed the wire towards the gap, then i went around to the door and pushed it through the grommet....
Well I got the right side done. Left side looks about 10 times harder since there's more metal in the way blocking me from getting as close to the grommet.
I guess what I could have done better is not have the wire overlap with the hanger. Still have no idea how I'm going to do the driver's side though.

I sure am glad I found this place before I started working on my car. I've gotten a lot of good ideas from this place and this "fun" grommet is what I get to look forward to sometime in the next couple of weeks.
pay someone to do it for you! save yourself the time, effort and frustration!
i had elite car audio do it for me on the driver's side.... they charged me $15. they ran the wire through both grommets but not through the boot. it instead was wrapped in split loom wiring or whatever they call it. Works just as well, though. The idea had come to mind (but without the split loom wiring) but I just wanted to get it done with so I gave in to paying for it.

now my challenge is to tuck all the wires under the carpet near the doors and get all the trim to fit back into place. It was a lot easier the first time I did it, since I only had 4 guage power wire down the left side, and a pair of RCAs down the right. Now I have 3 speaker wires and an 8 gauge power wire on the left side and 3 speaker wires, on the right 2 2 channel shielded RCAs. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this feat?
