Cheap/usable CD players new?

Kinda curious what people are using for some really cheap CD players.... looking on ebay and there's a bunch of offbrands.... don't really care, just looking for something that works better than the POS sony tapedeck w/ changer, buttons that don't work, and the faceplate that doesn't show a display.....

this is for my Tercel, so I don't really care... it's just my commuter/beater car....

All the other cars have nicer setups, but I'm just not concerned what this car has.

So, who's running what crappy CD player that actually seems to work ok? (think $50, lol)

check out the specials section on crutchfield, there are a few Kenwood decks that are around $100 or less.

They'll still sound decent because of the strong internal amp rated at 22W RMS.

sometimes.... but I don't think you guys really get that i don't care about this car and have 6 other cars in the driveway..... I just want something basically that has a display and knobs that work, plays cd's, and seems to last ok.

I've been burned buying used electronics off of ebay so I wouldn't do it anymore.... I have no problem with new, though.

I'll just find a cheap one and say screw it....

I bought a Premeir 390 something off eBay last summer for ~$65ish shipped. It is higher end than Pioneer's bottom of the line units but I got it for less than those. My guess was that people looking for cheapo units were only looking at bottom of the line models.

I'll probably go with a Boss....

forgot that they actually have some decent options in a cheap package.... I have one of their "marine" decks (which as far as I can tell is just white) in our boat.... still works great after being in there, this being the 3rd summer coming up (and the boat has already been through like 3 batteries and 2 hard winters with us, so....)
